Have you heard of BloomTech (Bloom Institute of Technology)?
It is an online coding school that teaches you Web Development, Backend Engineering, or Data Science and guarantees that you will get a job earning $50,000 or more.
If you don’t get a Job after their training, they will refund you 110% of what you have paid them. Yes, 110%. 😮
That is: They will refund all of your money and give you 10% more of what you initially paid, or alternatively, you can pay nothing upfront until you start earning $50,000 or more.
Pretty amazing right?
They further point out that their graduates work for the world’s top companies including Google, Walmart, Microsoft, Berkshire Hathaway, Apple, Cisco, IBM, Citi, Bank of America, HP, Target, Oracle, Twilio, BigCommerse, Divvy, Blue Origin, Nike, AT&T, Pheew!😪 The list is huge.
How is it possible that they are able to achieve these things? What strategy have they employed and why is it so effective?
Some of these are excerpts from my article, you can read a full article about Why the Bloomtech Strategy works on my website.
The answer lies in their refund policy;
In order for all their promises (refunds and guarantees) to stand, there is a set of rules and guidelines that apply (Terms & Conditions). Here are some of them:
To be eligible for a 110% refund on your tuition or loan, the following must apply:
You are legally authorized to work in the United States.
You graduated from your BloomTech program, receiving a Certificate of Completion.
You complete the Weekly Career Commitments for 365 days. Weekly commitments include:
• Applying to 10 jobs
• Reaching out to 10 professionals for networking
• Posting at least 5 GitHub contributions
Quite hard requirements, right?
Whether you vibe with this or not is where the entire system rest. You will have to do the work.
Truth is, I can’t imagine any person who would strictly adhere to these and not get a job, almost impossible.
As long as you are able to do the above, you will definitely get a job whether you are working with BloomTech or not.
I think BloomTech provides the framework under which it is almost impossible not to get a job.
As long as you commit yourself to these weekly tasks, you will definitely get a job somewhere.
I think the BloomTech program’s value is not so much in the actual curriculum that they offer, but in the mentorship, Coaching, and weekly requirements.
In the end, they help you to do much of the work. If you fail, you get no refund, simple.
I think this approach is so important for self-taught data analysts, programmer, or a graduate who has had difficulties finding employment.
I believe this weekly career commitment will undoubtedly open doors.
Many people will not do it because it is not easy, it requires a huge amount of effort, commitment, and discipline.
Ultimately, with or without BloomTech, the key is to commit to the weekly career commitments.
It’s a great framework to help you grow your skills, to be noticed by employers, and in the end, get a job.
Whether you apply at BloomTech or take courses on Coursera, Skillshare, Udacity, Youtube, or any other platform, the key is the weekly career commitments.
